    Hi.

    So, I have a friend who needs some help.

    I had a list of things to help her with in finding the right program so she can finish her degree but there's a catch. She didn't tell me, until the last minute, that all of her credit is freshman and sophomore-level credit.

    Do you guys have some suggestions for her on consolidating her credits and getting a degree as quickly and inexpensively as possible? See the background/details.

    Background:

    She moved to the US from South Africa. As a citizen of SA, apparently, it's difficult to get into a university there because their views are completely different vs. the US on education. Not all kids are expected or even groomed for higher education. Fast forward years later. She's ended up in Los Angeles and decides to go to community college for fun. Has no idea about degrees or how they work, just wanted to take classes for fun. She asked enrollment officer what she should do and was asked, "what's your passion?" She said, "I like costumes," and the enrollment officer told her to go into fashion design (apparently a 90-some-odd credit Associate's degree plan?) and she did. She found out later that she hated it and switched to business. Consequently, she graduated with an Associate's in business but has 120+ lower-level credits.

    Details:

    - Completed 123.5 semester hours of undergraduate, 100 and 200-level courses (mostly 100-level);
    - Credits are in fashion design, business, and general education fields;
    - Wants a bachelor's and doesn't care what the major is in;
    - Doesn't want to sit for a bunch of test-out credit;
    - Must be an RA school;
    - Prefers to use FAFSA but doesn't want to incur a ton of debt;
    - Of the three (speed, quality, and price), she chose: speed/price.

    I had initially thought of TESU before I knew she had no upper-division credit. Now, I'm not really sure where to direct her other than to have her complete upper div credits somewhere cheap and transfer them along with other others.

    She's about to enroll in Western Governors because she read online that people are completing their degrees in record speed -- apparently someone on Reddit posted that he was finishing classes in a day. I told her that while it's possible (I'm very suspicious), it's probably not as easy as she expects. She asked me for advice and I'm here, in turn, asking you guys for advice.

    Thanks!
