UFL Distance PhD in Microbiology and Cell Science, Data Science Concentration

The University of Florida offers a Distance (online) PhD in Microbiology and Cell Science with Concentration in Microbial and Cellular Data Science.

Students must "communicate through multiple means on a frequent basis with your Ph.D. mentor or other collaborators," and "must meet with their committees at least once per year;" it isn't clear whether or not this must be in person.

"Each professor will determine if they have a project available for a distance PhD student. Not all professors will have relevant research projects for this program."

 

It’s too bad they dont charge in-state tuition for all students like they do for the MS program.
