Sad overall, but at least they took the opportunity to finally formally overturn the loathsome decision of their predecessors in Korematsu v. United States.
USSC is greatest! the results are predictable. I can see in 100 years or less there won't be any need for them to meet at a particular place or even write an opinion. I can see two opinions being summited by Democratic/Republican experts and one of the opinions being accepted in its entirety by an up and down vote. I can see SC judges being appointed right out of law schools - Longevity and ideology will be the only tests.
They do occasionally offer surprises, e.g.: https://www.thedailybeast.com/john-roberts-sides-with-supreme-courts-liberals-to-save-your-digital-privacy
I am so disappointed to agree with myself, Trump confirmed today that he will appoint a judge who can serve 40 to 45 years.
