The Executive Doctor of Philosophy (Ph.D.) degree program in Biochemistry and Molecular Biology is targeted toward full-time professionals working in industry or other research laboratories who are involved in research at their workplace but do not have a Ph.D. These individuals do not need to give up their jobs to enroll in this Ph.D. program.

Applicants must maintain a full-time position in industry or other laboratories involved in research at their workplace. Applicants should have a bachelor's degree in a biological or related discipline (e.g., psychology, chemistry, engineering, or physics). Although there are no required prerequisites, courses in general biology, cell/molecular biology, calculus, general physics, organic chemistry, physical chemistry, and biochemistry are encouraged. Applicants with a master’s degree may be eligible for a waiver of select requirements.
