    Rich:
Is that a statement of fact or just a speculation based on your analysis of information from Middle States Association? If it is true, it means that Steve Levicoff is right again.

Not if its inclusion was done in error. I hope that Rich Douglas is wrong. Middle States has never accredited a 100% distance learning college and there is no reason to believe that it will do so in the near future. But TUI is not a full-fledged University. It is part of Touro College. The further you look at this arrangement, the more complicated it becomes. TUI's accreditation has been discussed in this board before and I don't want to re-ignite another fire.

The only way to know is to contact the Middle States. They are quite responsive and should clarify this issue in no time.

From a previous correspondence with the Middle States it appears that there is no confusion about the 100% on-line Ph.D. (no residency requirement) and pretty sure about TUI meeting the RA standards.

Maybe some of you think that being a student I tend to be biased toward TUI... therefore I suggest that you contact them and get back to us with the clarification.

It was my impression Rich was talking about the no residency DL PhD program. Where did all this talk about general accreditation come from?

I agree with you. As indicated in my previous thread the focus should be on the "100% DL Ph.D." or "no residency requirement" and not the general accreditation of Touro.

Let us wait and see whether Rich or Ike are willing to contact the Middle States and get back to us with clarification from the horse's mouth thus putting this topic to rest.

This thread was started before TUI changed their website. There is a new thread that discusses how much improved their website is. Their old site totally sucked......and I am a student!
