Truth social Post: The idea that the BRICS Countries are trying to move away from the Dollar while we stand by and watch is OVER. We require a commitment from these Countries that they will neither create a new BRICS Currency, nor back any other Currency to replace the mighty U.S. Dollar or, they will face 100% Tariffs, and should expect to say goodbye to selling into the wonderful U.S. Economy. They can go find another “sucker!” There is no chance that the BRICS will replace the U.S. Dollar in International Trade, and any Country that tries should wave goodbye to America.

I'm already sick of that clown's bullying. It does the United States absolutely no good.

Was BRICS currency even a real concern? I think not. It's a Russian talking point. I wonder if Trump's source for this idea has a name that rhymes with "cask".

Yeah, it could be. Communist China has been hinting that its negotiable yuan might be an alternative. The trick is to get Saudi Arabia to accept yuan for oil. They might.

The Yuan Renminbi isn't convertible. There's no danger of BRICS offering a joint currency. This is domestic posturing, nothing more.

There are two types of renminbi, on shore and off shore. The latter is convertible. It even serves as a reserve currency in other countries.

Domestic posturing, but also sowing seeds.
Russia is pushing to establish a BRICS grain exchange that would bring together some of the world’s biggest grain buyers and exporters.
A BRICS grain exchange could bolster Moscow’s geo-economic influence over the participating nations. It would reinforce Russia’s role as a vital supplier of grain and fertilizer to these countries, enhancing their economic reliance and maintaining the Putin government’s considerable economic and diplomatic leverage.
Interest in such initiatives is likely to be reciprocated, as wheat-hungry Egypt’s proposal of hosting a global grain storage center shows.

They'll use Bitcoin as the new currency.
