Tom: "If TCB&TTS gets regional accreditation, I will be all too happy to eat crow. My primary concern has always been for its graduates and potential graduates."

Yes, but does accreditation remove the stigma those graduates will have regarding the issues Bill Grover and Uncle Janko have raised? Even if Trinity (Newburgh) became regionally accredited, it might take a generation for the bad rep over "Liverpool" accreditation claims to go away.

    the stigma will be removed

I agree with the issues raised on this forum about Trinity and it's misinformation and misleading statements or even outright lies. However if they receive NCA accreditation. This will soon be forgotten and their grads will be accepted everywhere.

The accreditation would give them immediate credibility.

Robert: you're certainly correct in your forecast. More's the pity.

If Trinity (Newburgh) is able to be come RA, how long will this process take?

Other schools have had , shall we say, "questionable practices/policies," but have gone on to achieve credibility. The Union Institute (UIU), in its early days, was not without its own problems. It has now moved forward with a credible program, so who is to say that Trinity could not do likewise?

In trying to get to the heart what you guys are saying. I deduct from the comments that this education system as to a degree in religion is a scam. I can also logically carry that out further, in that that the reason someone would want to get a scam degree is to use it. And to use it I would further deduct is to create an income. So I think anyone could then come to the conclusion that getting a scam degree to make money is not too Christian. What am I missing????

WRH: "what am I missing?" - some of those in the ministery have egos that need massaging and they believe the egos will be better massaged if they are called "Rev. Dr." So, in addition to the financial aspect there is the egotistical aspect. Were that it were not true, but it is.
