    Three Year Rule.

  2. I'm assuming this doesn't include the War of Independence, right? I don't think that the patriots really got behind the war until the second battle of Saratoga over 2 years into the war.

The Tories were the patriots and I don't know that the insurrectionists ever held a majority of popular support.

    So much for democracy. :)

I'm not sure people had lost interest in WWII at the end of 1944.

Interest is not the same as support. Americans were not much inclined to war before the Japanese went Pyrrhic and support for the war depended much on perceived threat.
