Capitol Technology University has three new PhD programs:

    Astronautical engineering
    https://www.captechu.edu/degrees-and-programs/doctoral-degrees/astronautical-engineering-phd

    Intelligence and Global Security
    https://www.captechu.edu/degrees-and-programs/doctoral-degrees/intelligence-and-global-security-phd

    Sustainability

Unlike the relatively new business analytics program, these programs have the same format as the other PhD programs, which means the entire program will be focused on writing the dissertation or three publications.

Very interesting. I did not know there were programs that offered a PhD in Business Analytics if being honest. I'm going to have to look into that one.

Most places I have seen with analytical PhD programs call it something along the lines of Decision Sciences.

You seem to know a lot about Capitol. It's either you work there or transferred there.. (my guess).

One thing I notice is they say "This degree provides a path for current professionals in the Intelligence and Global Security field to explore new ground in the critical field of Intelligence and Global Security" A variation of that boilerplate is in almost all of their degree programs. I'm not sure if they're saying that because they want to dissuade people from thinking a PhD in Intelligence will help them get a job at a three-letter agency (it probably won't help), or if the lack of coursework means they really need someone who can hit the ground running.

Maybe, but over the years sanantone has shown she knows a lot about a lot of schools, so I wouldn't make that assumption.

I second this. sanantone is invaluable to the DI community and has shown a wealth of knowledge about schools. It is no different than me knowing a lot about top b-schools because I did a ton of research on them. Lol

Thanks for sharing, sanantone. I have benefited from the information in many of your posts since my joining DI.
