    Oh Good!

Management and Supervision can DEFINITELY be taken at the same time Abner. Go for it!

You just scared me a bit when you said Marketing and Supervision. I had visions of you sending Tiny Lucini and Fat Dom over to my house to rough me up a bit if you took both exams on the same day and failed because I didn't clarify that those two exams do not overlap and in fact require separate study. :p

Let us know how you go on!

    Good luck,

Certainly! "Cluster" yourself to your heart's content. A lot of these exams do have overlap, and I think it's an outstanding idea to take related subject exams close to each other to benefit from the crossflow.

By the way, congratulations on your progress to date! Forgot to get that in first time around.

Re: 4 CLEPS this coming week

    Hi AGS,

Wow! That is certainly a strange brew. I don't think I would have grouped those particular exams together.

Accounting especially makes me nervous, but that's because I am not a 'number' person.

I found Information Systems to be extremely passable since I have substantial computer experience already. I took that exam along with Sociology and Intro to Computers together. Those were my very first three exams.

I thought Marketing was difficult enough to warrant studying for that exam exlusively.

The good news is that, at least at Excelsior, all four of your exams are pass/fail. This should give you a little leeway since a 51 is JUST as valuable as a 79.

Best of luck AGS, I am sure that all your hard work studying over the holidays will serve you well.

Please let us know how you do next week.

    Best wishes,

My CLEP MARKETING / Intro Buisness

    Hello evryone,

Well ..do I have news for all of you ..I have taken the Intro to Buisness Law exam and recieved a score of 70 .....

However my score for principles in marketing was a 46.......

I just want to warn all of you .......

The CLEP exams can be difficult if you dont budget your study time and when to take the exam ......

Just take one exam a week if things seem to much to grasp over a weeks time .....

Dont get carried away with scoring 10 exams a week ....some people can do it others cannot ....We all have different work schedules and responsibilites and we all learn in different ways ...

take your time ...you will finish it quicker than having to wait till June ...but then again ...you can take those quickie community college television marketing courses...

Re: My CLEP MARKETING / Intro Buisness

    Aaaaw AGS,

Sorry to hear about your Marketing score. As I said before, it is definitely worth studying for that one on it's own.

I was hoping you would maybe squeeze past the 50 mark so you could get a pass (it is pass/fail). 46 is close though. Better luck next time.

70 on Business Law is awesome! You kicked it's butt. Congratulations. But it is definitely to your advantage to space exams out if they do not have definitive overlap. The other occasion when you might get away with taking multiple exams back to back is if you already have experience and knowledge in the subjects.

There is no bonus prize for passing multiple exams in one day. The credits are just as valuable if you earn them one exam at a time. If you can knock out two or three exams in one day, great! If not, nobody will hold it against you.

This does not mean that you could not pass more than one exam in one day if the subjects were closely related. Just make sure you choose your subjects wisely!

I think I am going to take Intro to Business Law next too. Do you have any advice?

    :p

Don't sweat it AGS, you win some, you lose some. a 70 on Business Law is pretty damn impressive! As far as the Principles of Marketing, you came very close to passing. Just wait six months and take it again while you are doing other exams, courses, etc.

You and beholdweb are kicking some serious ass!

Advice on Intro to Buisness Law

.I have a broker's license so I pretty much understood the contract laws --like you would need to know for your real estate /appraisal license exams...

so intro to buisness law is not so hard

however, www.instacert.com really helped me alot ...I felt I spent too much time on the intro to buisness law than the principles of marketing....so I scored well on the exam...

my recommendations is go through the scenarios in instacert and also memorize the laws on the web site ....

make a mix and match for the laws ...like civil rights act Title 7 ...etc etc

I also have comex ..that was very helpful and College Board Exams prep book .....

I made many outlines and tried to make some questions for myself on the exam ....

By the way , get alot of sleep before the exam .....
