Thanks everyone again. I'll give an example of a problem, maybe class specific I don't know.

    1.) emailed prof. a question.....it's day 4, no answer.
2.) posted a question online, 1 and 1/2 weeks later recieved an answer.
3.) all profs. are adjunct, not that I care, but I get the feeling we are not a priority.

    and meagain, it's in Maine.

Maybe it's the instructor and maybe he has other irons in the fire....I don't know. But it makes me a wee bit antsy.

Additionally, I have the option of all "online" rather than independant study but I wanted to avoid a cohort. I think I'll try that option though. 2 classes in 10 weeks. It's doable.

In the end, you have to do what's best for you, your family and your future. If that isn't St. Joe's, then I'm sure you will do what is in your own best interest. I don't think St. Joe's is all that well-known, so it's probably no great loss if you switch to another school. However, I'm not sure NCU is going to be a better alternative. I agree with what some others have said here. If you are going for an MBA, I would pick the one that will give you the most bang for your buck: AACSB accreditation from a "name" school.

    friendorfoe,

No public admin, but here is another awesome opportunity for an AACSB around $14k with a business undergrad.

Don't forget Nebraska and Mississipi State - also AACSB and less than NCU. However, no public admin. option, sorry.

Oh, this is really too bad. An all-adjunct program is really undesirable, in my view. What a shame.

Okay, after some prayer, talking to a couple of fellow students, etc. I've decided to stay at St. Joe's. My instructor is finally providing feedback which makes me feel better (all A's so far) and the other students informed me that the online option for classes is very interactive. I've been doing the independant study method....I think this will allow for a greater amount of classes being done and I may try 3 classes over a 15 week period and see how that goes.

After I attend the commencement for Southwestern I will attempt the online option at 2 classes per 10 weeks. I'm used to a high paced class enviroment such as 2 classes every 6 weeks at Southwestern.

A lot of the frustration is just trying to get things going and learning a whole new process of working. Maybe I was simply being too impatient.

Congradulations on your choice to stay at St. Joseph's. However, for other police officers who are looking for 100% online RA Bachelors or Masters degrees that offer police discounts for FOP members, simply click here to see a list of 10 schools.

    me again,

Thanks for posting the FOP tuition reduction link. I wanted to point out that in the link you provided, Bellevue University indicates they will be offering a PhD in Human Capital Management in 2007. It will be interesting to see if this degree will be offered entirely online and what the tuition rates will be for the program. Bellevue's graduate tuition is currently $340 per hour which would be a great deal for someone looking for a doctoral degree in the HR field for teaching or consulting purposes.
