Consider the following: 1) Over the past several years Trinity College/University ran from one state to another, relocating for a brief period of time at each location, then moved on to more fertile territory. 2) During this same period of time Steve Levicoff took a sabbatical from academe, positioned himself behind the wheel of a big rig and crisscrossed the country. Now, doesn't this seem a little coincidental? I would like to offer the following thesis: 1) Trinity College/University rented a big rig, moved their entire campus into the trailer, and set up the very first "University on Wheels." 2) TC/U hired Steve Levicoff to serve as chairman of the relocation committee. 3) Of course, Steve, being his own person, had complete control as to where TC/U would be located on any given day of the year. 4) Daily stops were made to mail the diplomas and deposit coursework (umm, I mean tuition fees) from students. 5) Now that Steve has come "off the road" and is enrolled in a Canadian degree program, TC/U appears to have dropped out of sight. I don't know guys, this just seems a wee bit coincidental to me!!!
Ah, Russell, nice to see that you are as preoccupied with me as ever. Don't let it get to you, though; there are much more important things about which you might posit theories. I must admit that I know little about Trinity College & University. I have personally never checked into them, I have never held any interest in what they do. In fact, the only Trinity on which I have ever expounded in any detail is the one in Newburgh. TC&U, as I understand it, is a secular degree mill, and they have never piqued my interest. Thus, I could tell you nothing about their history, locations, or even what they purport to offer. Your theory is, of course, amusing (although I have seen funnier theories that are more well constructed). I'll leave it to others to posit alternatives (should they feel that sort of need). By the way, for disclosure purposes, I never said that I was enrolled in a degree program. In fact, I am not - I have enough degrees for my taste. Moreover, I am still often on the road, and still prefer trucking to academe by many, many miles. Or, if I happen to be in Canada at the time, many, many, kilometers.
Re: Re: The Truth About Steve Levicoff Preoccupation is not the correct term, Steve. Perhaps bewildered defines it more precisely. I misunderstood your statement of some time back, thinking you were enrolled in a Canadian degree program. I stand corrected. Actually, the theory I posited was indeed plausible--in an oxymoronic kind of way. Think of the ramifications: An "RA all the way" proponent involved in a cutting edge "university on wheels" degree mill operation. It could happen!
