The Death of Discussion Boards in DE

That kind of cookie cutter BS is not worth doing. It's a "discussion" ongoing dialogue. You can't program that!

 

I'm frustrated by discussion boards because it's hard to separate out the stuff worth reading (which is in there!) from pages and pages of people posting similar responses to "summarize the reading" questions. Really an LMS should, like Medium and some other content management systems do have ways for people to highlight sections as worth reading and comment on them and then to list out these comments. So you can, for example, read all your professors comments on other people's posts.
