William Kuskin on what we can learn from the Rolling Stones about the new genre of scaled education.

Given this observation, I take three main points from the Affordable Degrees at Scale Symposium that help me understand where we are in following out the 2012 revolution, in mainlining massive electrical current into our nineteenth-century industry.

    • The Period of Emergence.
    • What's Next? Recursion.
    • Innovation belongs to the university.

MOOC has been a failure; we said this very early here on DI. Here is another thing that I am saying, Coursesa, Edx etc have been pushing up the average cost point for online master degrees. I earned my two master degrees for a lot more affordable that 19 of the 21 most affordable degrees in this article. Except for Georgia Tech, similar degree can be earned online for cheaper. There is nothing affordable or innovative being offered by these companies. All they are doing is going back to old models of delivery at a higher price points.
