I posted the link to call out the obvious absurdity the presentation. I guess it wasn't so obvious? In the first place, observing an orgasm (in person or on film) falls flat of educational value unless you can observe/compare/contrast both the female and the male, unless there is some specific relevance in excluding 50% of the species...so that's obvious flaw#1.

Secondly, anyone who has taken 5 minutes of biology knows that the physiology of an orgasm happens on the inside of the body (shocker) through muscle contractions, heart rate, nerve transmission, and blood flow. None of which can be seen on the outside. The contractions of her vagina could have been educational if someone verified them, but since there was a mechanical device instead of some type of monitor, those were lost too. So, we don't even know if her orgasm was real or an acting (bringing back to the class's argument that the film they were watching wasn't realistic). Of course since psychologists don't take physiology (or biology, or chemistry, or any of the measurable sciences), this may have been an academic over site. So, that's flaw #2.

Lastly, since clearly all of these "adult" students are so experienced, it seems to me a ridiculous waste of time and money to observe something they must have already experienced a million times. It seems to me that charging >4 grand to observe the ordinary is a huge rip off.

So, my point was that the activity was neither educational, valid, or a thrifty use of money...thus my suggestion to take the CLEP instead. :)

I will, however, give the teacher props for showing the 20-somethings where the clitoris is.

C'mon now... We ALL know the female orgasm doesn't exist. :smileysex5:

Emissary, you got to take it easy on yourself; I actually did like your post. Althought, I needed the information I posted for, I was panning for a gold nuggets within the rocks.

This is a result of rampant liberalization of the college curriculum. It's a great reason to clep out of courses but I think the anti capitalist collectivist message you get is far more damaging to our country. I took a human sexuality course in college and we watched no porn but we did have to understand tRNA and know seven stages of cell meiosis.
