I was in graduate school at Alabama studying chemistry and briefly had a roommate also in the chemistry graduate program. We were both from Miami, he originally from Colombia and myself a licensed private pilot. People used to joke we should pay them to not call the cops. Ironically, we were probably the only two guys from Miami who had never even smoked a cigarette, nor had we been involved with drugs in any way.
