Thanks Chip for this new forum.

I believe it was Plato who said "If you don't care about politics you don't care about people."

Politics is more than elections and candidates, it's about the health, safety, and welfare of a nation's citizens.

Politics should be debated and discussed on a daily basis. Everything we do involves some form of politics.

Every decision, action, legislation passed, is political and involves the lives of a nation's citizens.

President Bush last night talked about establishing community health centers for the poor.

This is very progressive and needs discussing.

    Jimmy:
Politics is fun to discuss and can be very important, but a friendly reminder from a Christian attorney: don't discuss them too much from the pulpit along the lines of "I think candidate X's policies are good (or bad or indifferent) for America."--you might be getting a call from your not-so-friendly local IRS agent prepared to dismantle your 503c status.

Thanks but I never discuss politics from the pulpit.
