    Very interesting. There are only a handful of online/distance Ph.Ds in Applied Linguistics out there. It's always a good day when there are more options.

    As far as I know (correct me if I'm wrong!), Temple's main US campus doesn't have any similar online offering. What a time we live in! You can be an American, living in America, pursuing a distance degree from the Japanese campus of an American university. Also, somehow, that's the most accessible way to do it!

    I am actually located in Japan currently as a foreign service employee. I may choose to do this program.

    I was eyeing Central Florida's EdD in Curriculum and instruction with TESOL specialization, but out of state tuition triples the price.
