Taft University Prez Wins Board of Education Seat

It looks like Taft University System President David L. Boyd has won a seat on the Orange County (CA) Board of Education.

This five member board manages a budget of near four billion dollars.

 

Coronado, who has a Doctor of Music Education degree from USC, was president of the Board of Education, and generally thought to be invulnerable. But her position on gay rights (unalterably opposed), and her 'misstatement' about a key endorsement, combined with Boyd's strong campaign produced the surprise result.
