Systematic Theology is not done for the unsaved but for the saved. Observe the theological content of Romans or Colossians. But these were for the Church, not for the unsaved. Paul gives his difficult teachings to the Church not to the world.

Yes. IMO the early church believed that Christ is God.

My writing for the church is a bit difficult to explain to one unless that one is familiar with two concepts: the eternal generation and the functional subordination of the Son.

Many evangelicals (eg Shedd and Williams) say that Christ is God yet believe that the Son receives personhood by an on going process of begetting by the Father. (see, eg, "only begotten" in KJV of John 3:13;5:26 ). I reject that doctrine.

Many evangelicals who say they believe the Son is fully God yet say that the Son is eternally role subordinate to the Father (eg Grudem and Dahms, see eg, 1 Cor 11:3;Jo 14:28 ). I reject that also.

My dissertation is to those in the Church who accept those doctrines ; it says that true God cannot receive life from another and cannot be eternally subject to another.

    Understand?

    Thanks again,
