I just found something frightening on that site.

They look like they can help me quite a bit, but it says that because all of my loans are from one vendor (not by choice) that it's illegal for them to help. Ugh.

    I'll keep looking into this.

    consolation

If it is any consolation. My daughters boyfriend is leaving college with a $40,000 debt in student loans and $5,000 in credit card debt. He is also one course short of his BS in computer programming with a minor in business. He does have a full time job in the field, but at a lower salary than if he had his degree. He doesn't see a rush to finish the last course given the job market.
He wants a car. Given his credit load, he is really scrambling to find a company that will loan to him.
So if he does get a used car, his total debt will be around $55,000. Wow!
I think he will be ok once he gets out from under the credit card debt. He is starting to learn how to bring a sandwich from home rather than spend 5.99 for a grinder for lunch. LoL :)
It is really easy to get in debt, pretty deep, pretty fast.
Keep looking at the options. Something wil click sooner or later.
    All the best!

    Irat,

Thanks for the encouragement. If I survive the next two years I think things will click together nicely.

As they say in NASCAR ... "keep digging". I guess that applies here too.
