Now St Luke School of medicine is claiming NOT TO be accredited from Ghana, but they are list as such on the IMED DIRECTORY. taken from http://www.valuemd.com/viewtopic.php?t=24752 Dr. Dolphin, knowing that you are on valuemd, I am writing to ask you to respond to the following question which arose from a student. They contacted you about your Ghana school and you responded that you aren't accredited there. Here is your letter back to the student: From: "Jerroll Dolphin, M.D." To: Date: Thu, 23 Sep 2004 13:33:01 -0700 Subject: Re: GHANA Ministry of Education Dear St. Luke School of Medicine is in the process of final accreditation in Ghana. We do not make any reference to being accredited in Ghana nor do we have any students registered to our Ghana campus. St. Luke School of Medicine will not advertise nor will we recruit students for our Ghana campus until we received final accreditation. Please, what made you think we were registered in Ghana as a school? I ask this question because if there are any references to St. Luke School of Medicine being accredited in Ghana, it is incorrect and I want any references to that effect removed. We are not authorized to advertise in any manner regarding Ghana accreditation or regarding our campus in Ghana. If there is any information on the internet contrary to this I want to know about it. St. Luke School of Medicine is a Liberian registered school. Thank you. -- Jerroll Dolphin, MSc, MD President, St. Luke University School of Medicine Yet 'someone' put together a letter from the Ghana govt. that went to ECFMG saying that you are recognized. WHo did that? The student made an official inquiry and was told by an attorney the following in Ghana "I made further inquiries about the St.Luke Medical School and Surgery from the Ministry of Health specifically the Human Resource and Training Department. Their response is that they are not aware of such school. Moreover, they do not see how an essetiall course like surgery can be taught on line." If you look at FAIMER you find the following: http://imed.ecfmg.org/details.asp?country=412&school=&currpage=1&cname=GHANA&city=®ion=AF&rname=Africa&mcode=412020&psize=25 On the internet you list yourself as having graduates and a campus on Ghana http://www.stluke.edu/campuses.html http://www.africaatthemillennium.com/Health.htm http://www.afronets.org/archive/200103/msg00091.php What is real? Are you registered in Ghana? Do you have a campus there now like the articles say or not? Your website says that diplomas are being issued fraudently by someone http://www.stluke.edu/disclaimer.html Have you reported those fraud degrees to the authorities? DO they include MD degrees? How do the authorities in the US know which St. Luke degrees are real and which ones are fraud? Can somebody help my memory here? It seems as though I recall a legitimate St. Lukes College/University/Seminary or something similar located in Georgia(?) that is operated by, (I believe) Episcopalians or Lutherans. Darned if I could find it, just remember it somewhere when I was looking at different schools with short residence requirements.
