I received some rather slick, unsolicited spam from Kennedy Western today - the same diatribe as usual, 'Earn a degree faster than at a traditional university' blah, blah, blah. Interesting to note though that when one clicks on http://216.52.252.2/tmpHostedFiles/kwu/microsite/Index.jsp?mctoken=v2v34889Z3a1037Z3a961dbf52394f13Z3a]the e-mail the offer is only valid for residents of the USA, bar Oregon (of course, otherwise Alan will come and cut their ****** off) and California. So why spam the world then? Cheers, George
In addition to spam, they also send out direct mail. I receive their pieces at the office occasionally, and they are not of high quality either.
I suggest those of you receiving spam from the schools also report it to their ISPs http://spamcop.net is one method of doing so. The Diploma spam will not be as rewarding as the schools that are ALMOST legit. but for Kennedy Western and others that have a web site...
Kennedy-Western Sued for Spamming We all know Kennedy-Western use spam to advertise their services. Now they are being sued by Hypertouch who claims to be an ISP.
Re: Kennedy-Western Sued for Spamming My favorite part of Kennedy-Western's response to the Hypertouch complaint is their assertion that no one has ever called Kennedy-Western a "diploma mill."
No one has ever called Kennedy-Western University a diploma mill??? In my considered opinion, Kennedy-Western University is a diploma mill.
