You're using Grudem? Wonder why I'm using Williams. But that's OK I 've been through Grudem elsewhere. Grudem and William's share a different outlook on charismata than most reformed have. Curious combo:Calvinistic Charismatics. I can live with it. Glad you are doing well.

Boy does my family need your counseling. One bipolar (and not in the process theo sense of deity either) son, 28 yr old ex Marine with ups and downers of mood swings on 100% VA disability home here and another son alcoholic unemployed bum 26 under court order to get anger management also home here!!!

I steal away to God and to my studies to keep my sanity.

My prayers are with you Bill. That is something tough that unless a person is going through it they really do not understand, especially at the point you are at in life where your hope is that the children are successful and independent. You have a full plate my friend! Is there any hope of the bipolar child living on his own at some point. There are many who manage to function but I think they need to find suitable careers. There is one guy here I heard about who owns a unique business and so is able to do as he pleases (eg no regular hours). At some point (personal opinion) the 26 year old needs to get out and make life on his own. You and your wife deserve some peace as you cruise into your golden years and do things together for the joy of it. Have you sought counseling?

Good luck with your continued studies.

Couple of days ago the 26 yr old and I got into it. Cops came and took him away. He lived on the sreet couple of nights but we let him back after his threats of suicide. Hopefully he soon will get a job and get out. The second, the exmarine, can get along with no one. could not possible function at work. He takes two prescriptions which help a little.

I am becoming used to it. As said, my studies help much. Thanks. didn't mean to mention it, you in counseling just clicked.

I feel like Jehoshaphat of old with three opposing armies joining forces against me (2 Chron. 20), i.e., Bill Grover, North and Uncle Janko.

Look out, guys! I'm getting ready to send the Levites out before me. <grin>

And get those idolatrous statues of Arminius and Wesley out of your yard too. I'm surprised you don't have Dennis Frey there as a third!

Not Dr. Frey, but I do have Wesley holding a catalog from California Coast University.

Pastor Russell: You may (or may not) be interested to know that the late Premier of Newfoundland, Joey Smallwood, had what purported to be the world's largest collection of John Wesley statues, dolls, coffee mugs, kachinas, etc., etc. I saw a pix of this many years ago and it was impressive in its own way.

If you want to send out the shock troops, how about the Levicoffites?!
