Short Term Training & Pell Grant/FA Eligibility

What all are your thoughts on opening up short term training/education courses to Perkins and FA eligibility? It’s been a hot topic in higher ed reform and workforce development. Some of the latest legislative proposals appear to have solid backing. I’ll reserve my personal thoughts for now.

 

Opening up = ability to borrow money

In my opinion, our country's obsession with "funding" higher education with unbridled guaranteed student loans is the biggest economic blunder of my lifetime.
