The university administration denied it. "The panel strongly recommended that her case be reviewed; Harvard refused. The case is now at the Massachusetts Commission Against Discrimination, the public agency that enforces the state’s anti-discrimination laws, where García Peña filed a complaint against the university." My two cents: I think it worked out well for her nonetheless. She was hired as a tenured associate professor at Tufts University (if ranking means anything, it's #28 nationally per USNRW).
