Greetings. I am planning on applying to the Curriculum, Teaching, Learning and Leadership Ed.D program at Northeastern University. I've never applied for to a doctorate program and was hoping I share my background and get some advice on applying and my chances of getting in. I am a veteran of the Army National Guard. I have a BA and MA in History, as well as a Post BA Teacher Preparation Certificate, which gave my the pedagogical credits needed to become a licensed 7-12 Social Studies teacher . With that, I am an adjunct professor for the College of Staten Island (CUNY), as well as a substitute teacher for the NYC Department of Education. My goal would be to earn the Ed.D in Curriculum, Teaching, Learning and Leadership, with hopes of becoming more involved in higher education, as well as moving up the ladder in the NYC DOE. Any advice that is provided will be greatly appreciated.
