I was looking for evidence ( web document ) that says the following, " non-accredited schools are acceptable ". Sounds like it?

They are acceptable if Letter B from here
    http://www.bbhe.state.az.us/prelim%20require/reqmft.pdf
Not sure why they would say that if they never let someone from a non-accredited school ever receive licensure.

Have you looked at ( http://www.calsouthern.edu/AcademicPrograms/ProgramDetails.aspx?dpro_id=8 ). You could save big bucks by going there. You can then transfer CalSouthern credits to earn a Ph.D at NCU.

According to the Pdf that I posted, you would need a regionally accredited degree and graduate from a program that meets COAMFTE standards or equivalent. This is my interpretation. I believe that the ( http://www.denverfamilyinstitute.org/content/view/22/41/) denver family institute is unaccredited but accredited by COAMFTE. I could not find the institute in the CHEA database. If the degree meets your needs, I wish you the best.

They must have updated their policy. For example, there was a guy by the name of Tony Coats that transferred credits from SCUPS ( now calsouthern ) to NCU for the Psych doctorate. http://forums.degreeinfo.com/archive/index.php/t-20410.html

It seems when he did this NCU was not accredited yet( it does not give details on dates other that he was a student 2001 at Scups) and it did not help much his situation, still had to take the 51 credits if he wanted to finish it, NCU has made a lot of changes(still making changes) since they became accredited.
