Go to http://www.worldwidelearn.com great directory of schools and training companies. No diploma mills.
As the owner and creator of WorldWideLearn.com, I object to your statement that WWL is a ripoff of Globewide Network Academy. While gnacademy.org is an excellent resource, the two sites really have little in common. WWL is a browsable directory and does not utilize a database of any kind. GNA lists all types of distance learning delivery methods; WWL almost exclusively deals with online learning methods. All listings that appear on WWL are selected and annotated by myself. Resources are provided to me directly by universities, colleges, training companies and individuals. There are many excellent resources for distance education - the GNA database, the experts that frequent this forum, Kristin Hirst's Distance Learning @ About.com, to name a few. Just as there are all sorts of ways to search for distance/online learning opportunities, there are just as many people who utilize different methods of finding these resources. Some may prefer to search a database, some might prefer to browse, while others may prefer to ask for advice and guidance. WWL simply tries to offer another way to locate online learning resources. While I recognize your right to voice your opinion, I would just respectfully ask that you do your fact-checking before you post indiscriminate accusations or remarks in a public forum such as this. I would also take this opportunity to apologize for Mr. Woodard's double posting. He admittedly is unfamiliar with the nature of this forum and displayed the typical enthusiasm of a sales and marketing type guy. He understands now that this discussion board is not the place for promotional messages. Sincerely, Angela Lovett President WorldWideLearn.com
Having looked at both sites, I second this. They're both distance learning portals, but that's where the similarity ends. Peace, ------------------ Tom Head www.tomhead.net
