I mistakenly posted our registration letter to the group and have no idea how to delete it.

The post I was wanting to make was concerning our real time online computer programming degree. I see from the posts that there are a lot of degree mills out there and also Masters Institute just went belly up.

We provide a real time audio enviroment with complete interaction with instructors.
Our instructors will soon be using webcams.

Our director, Sam Atieh, has also written two books on online education that can be found at amazon.com

    Our website is www.go2vgo.com

    Again, sorry about the post

I have today sent e-mails to both posters asking them to please start new topics if they would like to discuss either their school or specific programs within the school. That way anyone who is interested can read all about them.

Let's see, now . . . a .com URL that is separate from the school's URL (which also uses a .com domain rather than an .edu domain, which in itself is not indicative of a degree mill since .edu domains are reserved for four-year-or-higher schools).

However, Tim also uses an e-mail address at yahoo.com.

I am hoping that students are using other criteria besides email adresses to decide what school they will attend. Whether or not we use the school URL in our email address is irrelevant. We can be reached by phone at anytime.

    Actually Tim,

The e-mail address of a school is very relevant. I would be very concerned about a SCHOOL using Yahoo for it's e-mail.

With the great number of scam schools out there (not saying your's is)this is ONE aspect to look into. EDU and dedicated e-mail is nothing to turn your nose up at. Yes scams have EDU addresses as well, but this is an additional item to llok into when choosing a school.
