Taken into a different context, there was one saying in the military I remember being told as a young troop and it went like this:

"There are two people you don't want to piss off, the medic and payroll, all others are fair game."

At the very least by reading the following responses to this off topic subject (sorry for the thread hyjack) the one thing you can take away is that there are many different opinions to this issue (If you want to call it that).

Law Enforcement will always be flawed so long as there are human beings doing the job. Nothing is perfect and things don't always appear as they seem. It is often difficult for people to understand issues pertaining to a career field they have never served in.

Being an LEO is a difficult profession and like any professions it has its complications and issues. You try to do your best, help anyone you can, and come home safe at the end of the day. LEO's are not perfect, and even though we are held to a higher standard, there are times when those standards come into conflict with being a human being.

No big fellas! It's all good. Believe it or not, I am thinking of doing traffic school in person rather than on-line. Though I hate sitting in the hard classroom seats for two days. Plus, it is boring as hell. I have a hard time not falling asleep. :)

My wife had the same situation, same offense. She looked at the many wacky options -- the Comedy Traffic School, Pizza Traffic School (pizzas delivered every hour on the hour), the Chocolate Traffic School, and the Hunk Traffic School (instructors in thongs), but ended up doing one of the on-line schools. While one must be logged in for the full required eight hours, she got an awful lot of personal reading done. One needs to be at the screen, for the randomly-asked questions to confirm that you're paying attention ("What is your year of birth; you have 30 seconds to reply).
