Here's a question for the degreeinfo theologians. What is the reputation of Trinity International University -- e.g. in evangelical circles? This is not a DL question. I have a student who is using material from Trinity International University (as a source for a paper he is writing on ethical issues), and I am wondering whether or not the institution is highly regarded.
Yes, it is. TIU is the parent institution of the Trinity Evangelical Divinity School in Deerfield, IL, one of the "cadillac" institutions in evangelicalism and known for their high intellectual level. You didn't mention what area of ethics he's writing in, but I can tell you that Trinity was one of the first major universities in the U.S. to establish a doctorate program in biomedical ethics, and is still one of the best ni the field.
Excellent Brick and Mortar School! TIU is regionally accredited with campuses across the USA. I got my Masters in Counseling Psychology and I had no problem receiving the status of a Registered Mental Health Counselor Intern in the state of Florida (prior to being able to sit for State boards for Mental Health Counselor licensure). No questions were asked. The College, the Graduate School, and the Seminary are highly respectable schools and have been around a long time. The university as well as the seminary are regionally accredited and have well known Evangelical scholars. All of them pretty much have doctorates from Regionally accredited insititutions and/or international insitituions that pass the test in rigorous accreditation standards. I also had no questions asked when applying to Capella Unversity. I was able to transfer the maximum amount allowed into the Ph.D. program in psychology (30 semester credit hours/50 quarter credit hours). Hope this helps.
