I need information on getting a Bachelors, Masters and Possibly a Phd. in Psychology online so that I can get licensed in the state of Michigan, but it needs to be as cheap as possible and as quickly as possible. Any suggestions on which school or schools I should look into? At this time I already have 2 Associates degrees, one in Business Management and one in Marketing. Thank you, Scott
Excelsior College Transfer all those credits to Excelsior College, then study for the Psychology GRE Subject Exam. If you do well enough on the exam, Excelsior will accept it as thirty semester-hours of credit -- your entire major in one exam. See Lawrie Miller's phenomenal BAin4Weeks site for more information. And good luck! -=Steve=-
A psychology degree "as quickly as possible"? Those words don't mix well my friend. Sure, you with your two associate's and some CLEPS you'd be well on your way into a bachelor's program at Thomas Edison, but at the graduate level, it's not quite the same. I don't know the Michigan licensing laws, but do they require a psychologist to be a graduate of an APA recognized school? Even if they don't, you're still looking at possibly several years of graduate work. As far as I know (and anyone please correct me if I'm wrong here), but the ONLY distance learning school which offers APA recognized degrees is Fielding Graduate Institute. http://www.fielding.edu/ Since you're looking for the "quick way" I'll refer you to the "BIG THREE" for your bachelors: Thomas Edison State College http://www.tesc.edu Excelsior College http://www.excelsior.edu Charter Oak State College http://www.cosc.edu I recommend these three not only because of the numerous ways you can earn credit, but also because they are relatively inexpensive when compared to other comparable schools.
