Proposed Name Change for Cal State Hayward

    AWESOME, Dr. Bear.

    But seriously, as a mid-western Rocky Mountains region kind a guy, CSU-Hayward never had an identity or location to me (despite one of my favorite authors of the 90s having taught there)~!

    I like CSU East Bay; it makes more sense to me (like SF State, San Jose State).

    I lived in El Paso for a few years as a kid. Here's my memory collage.

    Tex-mex, tumble weeds, sand storms, an inch of snow cancelled school, cockroaches that were so large they needed a leash

    I agree. My in-laws lived near Turlock for a number of years. Turlock is a really nice town, as well as the campus. If it used to be the brunt of jokes, it's now the unsung gem of the CSU system. Shhh. Don't tell anyone.
