Well, Acting President anyway but while Joe Biden was anesthetized (No Dorothy Parker jokes, please) Harris was In Charge. https://www.cnn.com/2021/11/19/politics/kamala-harris-presidential-power/index.html So! We finally did it! The U.S. had a female President, however briefly.
85 minutes of her acting as President, and The United States of America still exists. I must admit that I underestimated her.
In retrospect, I've come to really miss what we had with Obama as president. I could argue until I'm blue in the face about all the things he said and did that I disagreed with, but I can say without a tinge of hesitation that I wasn't embarassed to have him as president. He was smart, articulate, and as much of a "good" person as I could realistically expect a politician to be (although this is a pretty low bar overall). It was a really bad idea for the country to use the last two presidential elections as a proxy for the culture war.
Trump had similar procedure in 2019 but he chose not to go under full anesthesia and didn't transfer temporary powers of President to Mike P.
