Hi dear collegues, I'm seriously starting to doubt and fear my future. All I desire is a Master's degree in anything medical (if possible Physical Therapy). Chances are that I wont live in the States (I still am not living there now) for more than a few months. My question: I fear I'll never get a chance to get my degree. I know I'll need to attend university, but wonder if maybe I can attend it a for only a few months and do all the rest online. Would there be much possibility in the medical area do accomplish online? I really hope so, because I don't want to give up my goal. Thanks for any advice
There seems to be quite a few options for Physical Therapy programs via DL...even doctorate programs (Boston University - http://www.bu.edu/sargent/, Seton Hall - http://gradmeded.shu.edu/programs.htm, Virginia Commonwealth Univ - http://www.vcu.edu/pt/, etc) with a few Masters programs available as well (Indianapolis University - http://pt.uindy.edu/postprof/). Not sure if any of these would work for you, but they are worth checking out.
Which part of the world do you live in? Can you get a masters from a university where you live? That might be easier. Distance education gets complicated and expensive when you live outside the US. It's more difficult to buy used books because most companies don't deliver ouside the US and when they do they either squeeze your wallet dry or they tell you it will arrive in a month or two. You have to pay international fees. You have to schedule exams 1 to 1.5 months in advance because of the mail delay etc. etc. etc. It is possible, just remember that it will be more complicated. That's why it might be better to try going to a local school. Plus, most universities in the world tend to be cheaper than the US. Just some points to keep in mind ... Brandon
