Good Morning, I'm looking for portfolio ideas for my husband in the area of golf. I can hear the laughing. He is a long time golfer and we live close to the course. I've found several courses but am looking for upper level. They can't be classified as PE. Also seeking a bowling course not classified as PE. He meets with his advisor next week and plans to be extremely organized for that meeting. Thanks. Have a great day. The full moon seems to have brought sleet and snow. Hille (Anyone who has had successful portfolios please share some insight and experience} My daughter has done two but not in these areas.
BWA-HA-HA-HA-HA! But seriously, Hille, why laughing? I managed to pull off two credits for folk guitar in my TESC portfolio, so nothing would surprise me. Try the catalog of Springfield College (Springfield, MA), which is run by the YMCA's of the USA. Their current course listing includes both golf and bowling - see the list here. I cannot tell you whether there is a theoretical component to these particular courses - you need the catalog for that. Remember, of course, that TESC will not allow courses without a theoretical component to be challenged, hence their restriction on purely P.E. courses.
portfolio ideas Thanks for the ideas. I've requested course descriptions. I'm also hunting for a golf psychology course. Thanks. Have a great evening. Hille

don't know if this helps I did a quick "google" search for golf college and golf psycholgoy college. I don't know if I found any "accredited" colleges. however, www.methodist.edu listed two courses, business administration professional golf Marketing-professional golf www.progolfed.com listed "professional golfing" classes including psy of golf. www.kilroyscollege.ie/df.html listed psychology of golf. Maybe your husband shouldd spend some time using a search engine? These don't sound accredited, but there must be some accredited colleges with similar courses. Good luck!
