This all reminds me of that old movie "Killer Clowns from Outer Space". The funny thing is I didn't know you could walk around carrying a machete. What the heck?
Apparently a machete is defined as a tool, not a weapon, and so, without a victim there is no basis for a charge.
Geez! I would be afraid to carry around a machete in public for fear of getting shot by the cops. I guess he didn't threaten anyone with it, so he did not get charged or shot!
