Bethany of Dothan done done it agin! It offers a "graduate in theology" degree (talk about nonstandard nomenclature) for which an associate's qualifies one to apply. How sweet. Now one can talk about having a "graduate degree" from this fahn school without actually having a (ridiculous) graduate degree from this fahn school. The age of miracles ain't over, kids! Glowry!
Uncle Janko, Is it a Graduate of Theology (Th. G.)? I thought the Th.G. was relatively common. Liberty University, through its Bible Institute, offers the Th.G. http://www.liberty.edu/Academics/Registrar/index.cfm?PID=2982
Dunno about Jerry's kids. Calling something a few bricks shy of a normal degree a "diploma" in theology sounds a lot more standard--and ethical--to me. All I do know is that the sleaze factor with BoD will, shore as Gawd made little green apples, produce BoD types going around claiming a "graduate degree" as though they meant by it what everybody else on the planet means by a graduate degree. I mean, wouldn't you be impressed by Bro. Precipiceburg claiming a graduate degree from BoD and, oh, a doc from, say, St Regis or Andersonville? Weasel words are just as much fraud as outright lies.
Uncle Janko, Here is one of Dr. Levicoff's old AED posts regarding the Th.G: http://groups.google.com/groups?q=Th.g+group:alt.education.distance.*&hl=en&lr=&ie=UTF-8&group=alt.education.distance.*&selm=398D5BAC.92D5D61F%40ix.netcom.com&rnum=1
This post preceeded the other one. http://groups.google.com/groups?q=Th.g+group:alt.education.distance.*&hl=en&lr=&ie=UTF-8&group=alt.education.distance.*&selm=5b2d8o%24r48%40dfw-ixnews8.ix.netcom.com&rnum=2
Interesting stuff. I stand partially corrected. The nomenclature is more standard than I thought it was, though obsolete. Now, if only this were a really reputable school, the weasel word problem would be replaced by the huh? problem.
