Even so I'm still some time away from my BA I'd like to know how much someone has usually to calculate for a PHD. The university should of cause be well accredited (I'd have no problem if there would be no more than one semester local presence requeired) and best would be something related to mass communication, marketing or sociology/psychology.

I am paying $500 per credit at NCU. Do you have a school in mind?

It varies wildly, from zero in Scandinavia, to a few thousand dollars total for universities in South Africa or India, to a hundred thousand dollars for a top school in the U.S.

Note, however, that at the PhD level, at least in the U.S., if you're in a position to attend full time you can usually get an assistantship where you'll have free tuition and a small stipend.

Sorry, not to go off subject. Randell, how is your PhD coming along? My friend said she sent you the books, were you able to use any of them?

    Have a good one!
