I would like to get some feeback on this outfit. the website is: http://www.phdinstitute.com Many thanks Migara
They appear to represent two US accredited schools and a Ukraine school. Why go though a third party? If I was interested in any of these schools I would go direct and avoid the middleman.
They sort of look like a Canadian agent for schools, but they seem to be nothing more than an academic counseling service with a hastily prepared website. For example, they claim to be "affiliated" with TUI University, but they haven't bothered to spell the name of the University correctly, neither the old name or new name is correctly presented. My gut instinct is for you to do your own legwork and avoid PhD Institute.
No specific information on services provided, and no real names of staff - hence, nothing to evaluate, really. You know what it looks like? MIGSesque plot using that Ukrainian business college's degree granting authority. The fact that IUBL is accredited doesn't mean it can't have shady affiliated people trying to abuse the system.
what about the Mercy college which PhD iinstitute listed on their website? I have many competed Master's units both Finance and Accounting, from Aussie and NZ universities, now i want to use those units to obtain a Master's in Business/ or something similar. what i have informed by the Phd institute is that either i can use Mercy college (cost around US$12k) or IUBL (Cost US$9K) and all i have to do is 4 further units and a mini Dissertation of 25-30,0000 words. any comments please? thanks Migara
http://www.phdinstitute.com/Contact_Us.html Google suggests that this thing's address might be a private residence. A reverse directory website suggests that the phone number is a cell-phone number. Whois reveals nothing but an anonymous website registrar.
Contact Mercy College (or other universities) directly. Why Ukraine? Why not the South African schools such as UNISA, etc? How many units do you want to transfer? How old are the units?
Hi Dave, The units are about 5 years or old.... I also have contacted Amberton University and is waiting for their response. As for South african, i am progressing with PhD at Stellebosch, so i really dont want another south african degree... Thanks migara
This does not ring true for a USA RA College or university. Have you looked at Excelsior's MBA - they will accept up to 24 semester units in transfer out of 48: https://www.excelsior.edu/Excelsior_College/School_of_Business_and_Technology/Business_Programs/Master_of_Business_Administration_Degree
