Hello Everyone, I posted before about my PhD program at Texas Tech in their Family Consumer Science program so I wanted to provide an update. I recently had my proposal defense and had my first three chapters approved by my committee. I am now working through the interviews for my qualitative grounded theory study, which is focused on how one's identity impacts their financial literacy. Scheduled to graduate this upcoming December and started the program back in August of 2020 while also working full time in public accounting. Also in the process of applying for full-time tenure track (I know it's a very saturated and hard process) positions in financial planning. Happy to answer any questions people have, but it's been great to be a part of this community. The program is either on campus or at a distance, so I choose the distance option since I live on the East Coast. They only make you come to campus for the dissertation defense and graduation; everything else is available via Zoom and Blackboard. Steve
