I'd never heard of it. Considering that it's Canada's newest university, that's probably why. Is this a former community college that got upgraded to offering four-year and even masters degrees? BC has been doing that a lot. Making use of existing faculty and physical plant seems a lot more efficient than building entire new universities from the ground up.
