    Howdy Folks!

I know I've come across this topic before, but I can't for the life of me find it via the search function. I am trying to get in with our local community college. I'm already teaching classes through them as an adjunct by working in my high school as a dual enrollment instructor. I'm also trying to take on a Saturday section of US History as a part of a new program the college is trying. The dean told me that the full time guy at the campus was going to retire in a few years and that I could already be in the running to replace him because I'm able to do history and political science. (He's currently the only political science guy.) The dean also suggested that many of the staff have picked up two disciplines, and a few have picked up three. I've been advised that I could probably pick up communication studies because they are always looking for people to do the public speaking courses. They noticed that I'm certified to teach speech communication at the high school level, and suggested I try to get 18 hours in communication studies.

That's where I currently stand. I have two more classes to take to finish up my MAIS with WNMU. After that, I could probably start on communication courses, but I have to find them first. I know I've come across schools before that had online communication programs, but I'll be darned if I can find them now. If any of you know of any, would you please share? I'm not looking for things like technical writing, but more like rhetoric or media types of things.

    Thanks!
    Matt

Johns Hopkins has a MA in Communications program online, but they are extremely pricey.

Mississippi State offers some graduate level Comm classes via distance. Looks like you could take all three they offer and get yourself halfway to the credits you need.

Wow! Those are actually fairly inexpensive. Thanks for those!
