    Truman State?

Good undergraduate school as a matter of fact. Probably better than Mizzou for undergrad.

And no it is not the same as Maryland. I just want to make that clear. Truman State is a separate University in a separate system.

That was a joke by the way.

Are there any AACSB Online MBA programs between $15K ~ $20K (candidates will also do).

The University of Tulsa requires one visit per year (2 total), but you can get an exception. They are about $24K.

If you are interseted, please let me know, I do want to give you a few warnings and experiences I have had.

Others: Drexel, Florida State, ASU (not sure of their price).

    Cheapest MBA?

If you are most concerned about cost and willing to do DETC work instead of RA, look at California College for Health Sciences. Thier MBA costs around $5-6 grand...

    Hi Angela,

Purdue University has an executive mba (requires 6 two-week residencies during the 22 month program) that is fairly well ranked. I doubt this would be a better choice than IU, but I thought I'd give you another option.

12 weeks of residency?! Wow. That doesn't sound like much of a DL progam.

    confusion

Ok let me start again ...

There was a reference that IU graduates make more than UMass graduates .... there was a connection that students from "top" schools get paid more than others ... and that is completely not true. Another clarification is that one does NOT need an MBA to make money ----

What I tried to say initially on my post was that the important thing is to get an AACSB accredited degree. If you can not go to Harvard, Wharton, Columbia, Chicago and a couple of others .. there is no way that anyone can tell me that the Indiana Online program is better than the UMass online program or the Tulsa ....

They are all pretty much the same .. most of the work is done individually .. one reads at home - does the assignments - participates on discussion boards and that is it. Please tell me how is IU or Florida or ASU better than UMass.

Yes UMass is not a top 50 ... it is ranked #61 per USNews this year - but the point is if Tulsa is cheaper go there --- who cares most people wont know the difference.

I work with Harvard and MIT management graduates .. and you know what ... I know more about a lot of things and they know more about other things ... I read the same books that they did ... and NO they are not smarter than me.

Just because they went to IU or HBS does not make them smarter or anything and no it does not mean that they make more money than me.

Indiana is $36k + 2x traveling to Indiana and stay for 2 weeks .. total over $40k

ASU is a brand new program tought by 4 professors .. not the same as full time or part time program ..... they dont even have al the material ready.... if you want to be a beta tester then good luck.

Univ of Maryland Smith does not have an Online prog - so you are confusin it with the Univ Maryl Univ College ...

florida is a bt cheaper ~30k but you have to go there 7-10 times ... not interested.

There are many choices but unless you go to a top5 school - the rest are all the same .... totally the same.

How is Warwick or Uni of Leicester better - when no one even visits the discussion boards -

There was an article on WSJ where there were soo many Cornell MBA students without jobs .. forget about making $100k .. NO JOB AT ALL ...

Rankings: Read how rankings are done. Total garbage and worthless.

COST: Very few people benefit from the MBA as far as the salary is concerned. Those that are making $30k a year .. -:)

I am doing an MBA and do not expect a raise -- I am glad I have a job.

MBA is overdone - one does not really get any skills (thus they cant find jobs). Why not do a MSc Finance , MSc Engineering .. something that actually gives you some skills.

    Thats it.

    online PhD off base

I really have to disagree with your POV. I'm an HR executive with a large company and I can clearly tell you that there are tier 1, 2 and 3 schools and their graduates do NOT all get paid the same at the point of entering a company.

I would AGREE that over a longer time horizon the person who consistently gets results will be rewarded, regardless of their degree, but it would be foolish to think that a degree from a tier 1 school has no market premium...it does.
