As I view all these "best of" sites (as they relate to online college), I'm noticing the same "featured schools" on many of the sites. It seems (after spending an evening looking into this) that there must be two or three clearinghouses (liked elearners for instance) that are just being linked to by other sites.

    Is this indeed the case?

Full disclosure: As has been noted before, I'm on the board of my undergraduate alma mater. They have a growing online program and I'm thinking about making some suggestions that could lead to growth. This is the reason for my inquiry. Thanks.

It is my opinion that those sites accept payment for being listed. Note that most of the featured schools are for profit.

I think those are mostly lead aggregators. It's pretty expensive to buy leads from them, but you can always ask.
