    Thanks

My email just alerted me to a reply on the thread....I didn't realize I had so many, thanks!
I am going with SL so Liberty won't be so expensive or slow. I tried the "big 3" and they wouldn't accept my transfer credits. So with SL and clep I will spend 30 required hours to get my degree and at this point I really don't care what it's in. I am an Art teacher with a job already, I just need a degree-I'm doing this backwards. So Liberty's second cognate will be the only thing I need to decide. I am leaning towards Psy to go with my fine arts cognate but I know Edu would be smarter yet harder.

I may not do any of this if I can't pass Algebra AHHHHHHHHHH!!!!!!!!! I really hate math LOL! Its been 28 years since I had to figure out sadistic word problems :) What kind of evil person writes those tests anyway? ha ha:yikes:

PS: To use SL you need a Mac with INTEL, I found out the hard way. My mac won't run firefox or IE so a new mac is on my list.

This sounds odd. The "Big 3" are known for their generous and very liberal credit transfer policies. What kind of credits are you transferring? What is the source?

<thinking aloud> Arttillygirl is an art teacher. Some freestanding postsecondary art schools are NA not RA, as are some design programs at career colleges. Could be that?

Liberty is more open to DETC and other NA credits than the Big 3. I think Liberty treats NA and RA credits the same.

You'll do fine. Algebra is not that bad. For some majors, IDS being one of them, Math for Liberal Arts will meet the math requirement.

Yes! Just got a 100 on my 3rd Intro to Algebra exam. First two were Cs so I guess I'm getting the hang of it. Thanks everyone!

Clipping along with an 83 in Business Communications and a 78 in pre Algebra. I have to say the Straighterline tutors are really impressive when I asked for tutoring.

Glad to hear you are doing good, and found a program that fits your needs.:usa1:

I don't know if you've already registered, but ALEKS algebra is accepted by Liberty, is self-paced, and a FRACTION of the cost of SL. I understand why you're using SL, but for anything math, you should really consider ALEKS. ($20/month TOTAL - no books)

Turns out Liberty won't accept as many credits as they said on their "official transcript". It was apparently a mistake. 24 of my credits have to be from my major so that's going to add extra classes. They require 5 of their Religon classes so it's a whopping 57 credits I need now to graduate. Quite disappointing especially at 350 per class. But they accepted more than anyone else unless I try to look into another program for portfolio credits. I still have to pay for each credit so that prob won't be any better.
