October 2021 Update on Recognition Renewal

ACAOM, COE, and TRACS have not been renewed for a 5-year term yet. They've been given 12 months to come into compliance. The decision to renew ACCSC has been deferred.

This is starting to get wild.

 

Any idea what the compliance issues in question are?

 

I can't find more information on which areas they're failing at. I know that ACAOM schools can be expensive, and job opportunities for acupuncturists are not abundant. COE probably has similar to ACCSC and ACICS. They accredit career and technical schools, so my guess is that most are for-profit. COE and ACCSC are probably absorbing the bulk of ACICS schools, and ACCSC was problematic to begin with. TRACS is a popular accreditor for schools that have lost regional accreditation.

Many Department of Defense and Department of Homeland Security schools are accredited by COE, so it'll be interesting to see how this plays out if COE can't meet standards within the next 12 months.
