Three out of the ten courses in the MS in Computer Science have a business slant. This makes it a MIS/CIS degree instead of a CS degree, in my opinion. Real CS degrees are going to be straight CS with none of this "business intelligence" or "innovation and strategy for organizations" stuff I read in Northcentral's catalog. I wasted a lot of money and time at some online schools trying to get a pure MSCS before giving up on DL and applying locally to Clemson (got in but it didn't work out). I kinda feel bad for these people who think they have CS degrees who try to chat up real CS people and find out they actually have IT and IS degrees with vanity labels. One question always reveals the truth, though: "What MATH classes did you have to take?" Gotcha.

What do you think? What math classes reveal a genuine CS degree?
