North Central and accreditation candidacy

If one were to obtain a degree from a university that was not accredited at the time of admission, but IS accredited at the time of graduation, would the degree obtained be considered one from a university that IS accredited? I ask because I'm curious about North Central and they have been granted 'accreditation for candidacy' - anyone have any experience with North Central? Thank you, Mary
